Rough Hollow is served by the award-winning Lake Travis Independent School District (LTISD), consistently ranked among the top districts in the state of Texas.

LTISD has deemed itself “The Destination District” as a result of the large amount of families moving into the district due to its reputation of academic and athletic success. Our youngest Rough Hollow residents currently attend our in-community Rough Hollow Elementary, or nearby Serene Hills Elementary School.
Our pre-teen and teenage residents attend Lake Travis Middle School and Lake Travis High School. Based on STAR testing, Lake Travis Middle School has also been rated above average for their education quality and continues to show year after year academic improvement when compared to other rivaling programs. Lake Travis High School is no different in its academic success. Since 1998, Lake Travis High School has earned countless state championships in University Interscholastic League athletics and academics, as well as extracurricular clubs and activities.
