Rough Hollow Marks Major Milestones with Oktoberfest
Oct 18, 2017

Austin, Texas (October 18, 2017) - Legend Communities and Crescent Communities today announced Rough Hollow will host Oktoberfest, a fun filled public event and home tour on October 28 that will mark two major milestones at the Rough Hollow community.

The Oktoberfest festivities are free to the public and will take place from 12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m., starting at the Rough Hollow Welcome Center, 903 Highlands Boulevard, and include a self-guided sampling of German-inspired food and drinks showcased at multiple model homes throughout the development.

“After the long, hot Central Texas summer, we all welcome this exhilarating time of year,” said Haythem Dawlett, founder and principal of Legend Communities. “What better way to mark the rapidly unfolding success of this exceptional community and give the public a look at our two new neighborhoods and the estate homesites remaining in The Peninsula than to combine the celebration with a community-wide
tour featuring favorite fall flavors?”

The Oktoberfest event will feature a wide variety of German-inspired eats and drinks with tours and activities at nearly a dozen model homes. The offerings will include such fall favorites as sausage on a stick; grilled bratwursts and sauerkraut; soft pretzels with dips and toppings; churros with dips; fine German cheeses paired with Riesling; German chocolate cake and apple strudel; a pie bar and other gourmet desserts; root beer floats; and adult beverages such as hard cider, beer and wine tastings.

Attendees can enjoy complimentary beer, wine and champagne tastings in the VIP Tent and Bier Garden when touring four or more model homes. Children’s activities include face painting, a kiddie train and balloon art provided by Nate the Great. Additionally, a Kendra Scott pop-up store will feature some of the season’s hottest trends in jewelry with a 15 percent discount on all purchases. The Oktoberfest event will officially mark the opening of two new neighborhoods in Rough Hollow – Westside Landing and Canyon Pass – for a total of 21 neighborhoods overall. It will also signal the The Peninsula at Rough Hollow Marks Major Milestones with Oktoberfest
release of the final phase of estate sites in Rough Hollow’s most exclusive, private neighborhood -- The Peninsula at Rough Hollow – with only a handful of prime waterfront, “dockable” properties remaining.

Westside Landing is a limited collection of 41 lifestyle lake homes in a waterfront community adjacent to The Peninsula. Starting from the mid $600s, this collection by Legacy DCS Homes will boast farmhouseinspired architectural design, paired with three functional floorplans emphasizing outdoor living. To date, 25 of the 41 homesites have been reserved with many featuring lake views and all having lake access. The remainder are available through Rough Hollow’s Priority Reservation Program.

With homes by Brookfield Residential and Drees Homes, Canyon Pass will feature stunning floorplans and tree-lined streetscapes with homes starting in the $300s. Canyon Pass has spectacular Hill Country views and access to all Rough Hollow amenities, including the Rough Hollow Yacht Club and Marina for lake access. Oktoberfest guests will be among the first to learn about the neighborhood’s 67 homesites and get a glimpse at the model home – currently under construction.

Legend Communities is excited to announce the release of the final phase of estate-sized properties in The Peninsula at Rough Hollow. Nestled high above Lake Travis and just a short ride from downtown Austin, The Peninsula is the most exclusive neighborhood in Rough Hollow and offers an unparalleled opportunity for private lakeside living. It is a naturally secluded collection of custom luxury homes and estate-sized homesites. The Peninsula is the last gated, waterfront community in Lakeway.

The Peninsula at Rough Hollow was the site of the Spring 2017 HBA Parade of Homes showcasing the newest trends in construction, building design, interior décor and landscaping in one of the nation’s most vibrant real estate communities. To date, 40 estate sites have been sold in The Peninsula, three of the homes featured in the Parade of Homes have been sold, and two are still available. Through third quarter 2017, Rough Hollow has sold 34 semi-custom homes with an average price point of nearly $627,000 and three custom homes, for total 2017 sales of $22,993,413.

“People who visit Rough Hollow are captivated by the stunning lake and canyon views, the artistry and craftsmanship of our builders, and the incredible array of amenities,” said Dawlett. “We invite people to come out to Oktoberfest for festive family-fun and the opportunity to preview the limited number of homes and homesites remaining in this phenomenal community.”
